Morning! Here is an audi crashing into a bus shelter. Nice blue. Start at 1:45!
What kind of audi is that?

Tom,
I went to the Chicago auto show a few weeks ago and was very disappointed with the number of wagons present, but very un-disappointed by the number of wagons Volvo brought. Volkswagen didn't even bother bringing the JSW, and Mazda didn't have any top-trim 3's (I'm looking for my next ride). But I'll be damned if Volvo doesn't pull off a 2000's Cadillac move and pull of some beautiful luxury on a budget with the new V60 and R-Design models. If you can't sell those to your customers then I quit.

The sad part is my customers aren't asking for 35k+ wagons. I love the V60 and plan on buying one CPO 3 or so years from now, but I know the market is limited for them. I just hope they are popular enough to justify their continued importation in the US.

Ok, the S60 starts in the mid-30s, and it is a midsize car. I feel like someone who had considered buying a 5 series but wasn't totally sold on spending the 5 series $$ would be delighted with how much luxury you get with the Volvo for less money. Plus, with their new twin-charged motor, you won't have to listen to the fuel economy complaints either. I feel like Volvo's product line is stronger every day but they don't have the marketing to support it.
I had to take some Bayer the other day when I saw the shooting brake teaser photos...
I just want a CPO V40 to replace my C30 :/

Also, I saw TWO brand new E-class wagons this weekend on the road, so we just need those owners to buy many, many more wagons.

I think the S60 offers a great value for folks who want a very nice luxury car and not have to worry about some of the hassles with zeGermans. However, many of my clients want to lease and they want BMW, Mercedes, or Audi because they want to say they drive a BMW, Mercedes, or Audi. Yes it is badge snobbery but there is not much I can do about it. And when I can get 7 grand off sticker for a C300 and the Volvo dealers will only budge 2500 it is hard to convince them to get an S60.

In my experience most E-class wagon owners buy them and keep them forever. I know a lady who had a 92 E320 that had almost 230k miles on it. The head-gasket blew and she bought herself a brand new E350 for 70k.
